The new AIM Headquarters in located in a plain area of about 10.600 square meters, within an industrial urban environment, where many tertiary sector businesses surround the building site. Therefore, the design intends to follow the required criteria for a correct integration within this particular landscape and environment.

The new building is divided into three parts: the offices, the operational core (hosting the production workshop and the storage room) and the outdoor area (which is a semi-covered space equipped with car park and overhead travelling crane).

The result is a building based upon a sequence of volumes, positive and negative spaces, floating on a reflecting stretch of water, creating a suggestive play of light. On the top, the wide sloping roof recalls the surrounding mountains, reproducing their shape and becoming a strong design feature.
