The rural house: Ca' Bianca
The building was deeply damaged because of an earthquake in 2012. It is situated in a countryside area and it embodies the typical traits of the rural architecture.
Since the building suffered the earthquake, demolition and reconstruction was the only option left, nevertheless the aim was to maintain the typical character of the rural houses.
The building will still be a semi-detached house, developed on two levels. At the ground floor, there will be the living area, with a separate large kitchen, a bathroom and the garage; on the upper floor there will be the sleeping area.
In order to keep the distinctive architectural characters alive, frames of exposed brickwork will surround all the openings. In the same way, the brickwork will emphasise the presence of the chimney, while the remaining surface of the building will be painted with warm colours in harmony with the environment.
